White Guide is a distinguished restaurant guide in the Nordics, comparable to the Michelin guide. Every year they publish a guide with the best restaurants in the Nordics and also nominate the best of the best to receive awards.
The NomineesIn 2018, Gastronaut Catering was nominated for the category Trailblazer of the Year (Årets Banbytare) side by side three award-winning and amazing chefs in the Nordics:
The WinnerThe winner was Mathias Dahlgren with his restaurant Rutabaga. Mathias is an amazing chef and a longtime household name in Sweden. Under his belt, he has 4 Michelin stars, is a Bocuse d’Or winner (the “world cup” of chefs), has been five times Swedish Chef of the Year (Kockarnas Kock) and has published some of the most prominent cookbooks in the Nordics. Mathias truly deserved to win as he continues to push the boundaries.

Even if we did not win, we feel extremely proud and incredibly humbled to be considered in the same category with three amazing nominees. Being nominated for a prize by White Guide side by side Michelin stared chefs is a great achievement in itself!
Our chefs will continue to bring culinary treasures from their home countries all around the world, and keep introducing all of us to humble masterpieces that we have been missing out for centuries.
